Eyelash Extensions

Will they ruin my natural lashes? Absolutely not! At Charlie’s Lashes, we are unwavering in our commitment to prioritizing the health and comfort of our valued clientele. We maintain an extensive selection of lashes since every set done is fully custom to you & your lash goals. We recognize the unique characteristics of each individual’s natural lashes in terms of length & density, and our highly skilled stylists undergo comprehensive training to meticulously pair you with extensions that aren’t too heavy for your natural lash. Our volume full sets, in particular, offer a fuller and bolder appearance while still weighing the same as a classic set of lashes.

How are lash extensions applied? We offer two different types of application styles: classic and volume. Classic is the application of one extension to one natural lash. Volume is an advanced technique that applies multiple extensions to one natural lash to create more depth and texture. Extensions are applied 0.5mm-1mm away from the base of the natural lash, allowing them to grow with your natural lash cycle.

Why do extensions fall off? Just like the hair on your head, your eyelashes go through a natural cycle of growth and eventual shedding. The lash growth cycle can be broken down into three phases: Anagen (active growth), Catagen (transition phase), and Telogen (resting phase). The entire cycle can take between 4 and 11 months. In the Anagen phase, lashes are actively growing for around 30–45 days. Approximately 40 percent of your lashes are in this phase at any given time. Each lash will continue to grow until a specific length and then stop.

So, as your natural lash grows, the extension will grow out further from the base, eventually causing the extension to fall off– this is why we recommend booking a relash every two weeks!

Will you cut my extensions or natural lashes? No! Never! During a relash appointment, your stylist will remove any extensions that are outgrown and replace those & any you may have lost with new extensions 0.5mm-1mm from the base of your natural lash. Because our lashes are so customizable, we can easily increase/decrease the length of the extensions and even volumize if you have an event coming up!

When do I need to clean my extensions? Every. Day. Our lashes protect our eyes from debris, dirt, oils, bacteria, etc., and not washing your extensions daily will put you at risk for things like infections, styes, and blepharitis. It’s essential you keep your extensions clean to avoid health concerns and have the best retention possible. If you live an active lifestyle, we recommend purchasing our H-eye-giene Spray for a quick cleanse when you can’t get to the sink.

Brow Lamination

Can brow lamination fix uneven brows? Absolutely! Because we’re performing a chemical process on the brow hairs, they can be arranged to your desired shape for either a bigger, bolder brow or to address concerns with shaping.

How does brow lamination work? Eyebrow lamination is the new treatment that will help give you a thicker, fuller, uniform shape without any needles! A perm-like solution is placed into the brow, allowing your stylist to create a new, more uniform shape. We can create arches, extend tails, cover scar gaps, and create the latest “fluffy” brow trend. Your gorgeous new brows will last up to 6-8 weeks!

Lash Lift & Tint

Do lash lifts damage your natural lashes? No! While it’s similar to a perm, the lash lift process is much more gentle since it’s specifically formulated for the eye area. The silicone rods & shields used help ensure none of the product is placed too close to the eye. Your lash lift is based on multiple factors decided by your highly skilled stylist to avoid any potential damage or over-processing.

How does a lash lift work? A lash lift & tint replaces the need for an eyelash curler altogether by shaping and curling your lashes to offer a semi-permanent hold. It’s a four-step process to define your natural eyelashes and create the illusion of extra length. Your lashes are lifted onto a silicone rod or shield (depending on your eye shape and desired results), while the perm-like solution trains your lashes to hug the shape of the rod/shield. This low-maintenance lash service will have you yielding eye-popping results for up to eight weeks.

Why did my lash lift not hold for the full time? While this isn’t a common occurrence, it can happen to those who do not follow aftercare instructions or those with extremely straight or even downward-pointing lashes. After receiving a lash lift, keeping your lashes away from water, heat, and steam for the first 24 hours is essential in yielding perfect lash lift results. Those who have very stubborn lashes may require us to reprocess the lashes, especially if it’s one of the first times having a lash lift & tint done. If you feel like your lash lift isn’t holding, we highly encourage you to reach out to us to give you the lashes you’re head over heels for!

Can I wear mascara with a lash lift? Yes! You can continue wearing mascara or makeup as normal after the 24-hour period has ended.

Full Body Waxing

How often should I book my wax? Each person’s hair growth cycle is different, so it may vary from person to person and may also be impacted by the time of year. We recommend any face waxing be booked 2-4 weeks apart, bikini/brazilian waxes be booked 2-5 weeks apart, underarms be 3-4 weeks apart, and all other body waxing 3-4 weeks apart. After your first few appointments, you and Diana will be able to discuss what timeline is best for you and your schedule.

What do I do before body waxing? In order to get the most out of your body wax, a few simple guidelines to follow are avoiding AHA/BHA retinol skincare at least a week prior, no tanning beds 24 hours prior to or post waxing, no fake tan (for facial waxing), exfoliate the day before or the day of, avoid wearing moisturizers to your appointment and be sure to inform your stylist of any new medication/diagnosis or any recent trauma to the skin.

Does waxing reduce hair growth? Yes! Each time you wax, the hair will grow back finer and slower each time. You should notice less hair growth, making the time in between each wax more manageable and less maintenance.
